Naturopathic water therapy is a unique treatment technique employing water in various forms (hot, cold, steam) to restore physical and mental well-being. At KANSA, we have incorporated hydrotherapy in the following forms:
- Hot & cold packs, compresses, wraps: In naturopathy, hot and cold packs, also known as fomentation, are used to treat various conditions. While hot packs increase blood flow and aid in muscle relaxation, useful in chronic pain, muscle spasms, strains, sprains, arthritis ; cold packs reduce inflammation and numb pain, beneficial for acute injuries like bruises and sprains. Often hot and cold compresses are also alternated to achieve the best results.
- Hip Bath : Hip bath or Kati Snan is a hydrotherapy treatment where the lower body, from the navel down, is immersed in water for healing purposes. The water temperature could be hot, cold, or a mix of both, depending on the desired therapeutic effect.
